All of our policies at HVS are designed to take the stress out of payment and scheduling so you can focus on becoming the singer of your dreams!

Instead of a pay-per-lesson model, our studio uses a flat monthly membership rate to keep payment and scheduling simple and provide consistency for our singers and faculty. Our Gold and Platinum monthly membership rates are based on 46 private lessons, 4 performances, and additional resources per year. You can read more about what each membership offers here.
Our studio observes 6 weeks of break throughout the calendar year (Spring Break, Summer Break, Thanksgiving Break, and Winter Break). These breaks are built into our membership model, and no rescheduled lessons are offered for these breaks. You can view our 2025 studio calendar here.
HVS is contract-free, but requires 30 days notice for cancellation. View more in our “Cancellation” policies below.

Payments at Houston Voice Studio are securely processed through ACUITY SCHEDULING. Your first membership payment will be processed when your lesson time is confirmed. Subsequent payments will be automatically processed on the 1st of each month using the card on file.
If there is an issue processing your payment, we will email you instructions on updating your payment information. All payments must be completed by the 5th of the month to maintain your enrollment.
If you need to update your card, please email us or complete our card change form in our student portal. We’ll then provide the necessary steps to update your information.
Please note that once processed, membership payments are non-refundable. Houston Voice Studio does not offer partial refunds or credits for missed lessons. Membership payments cover the entire month, regardless of the number of lessons attended, rescheduled, or missed.

We understand that scheduling conflicts can arise! If you need to miss a lesson, please submit our reschedule form, linked in our studio member portal and lesson reminders. To ensure consistency and accuracy, we kindly ask that all rescheduling requests be submitted through the form, as we cannot process requests via email or text.
For conflicts with at least 48 hours’ notice, please submit the reschedule form 48 hours in advance. Once you submit the form, you will automatically receive a link to schedule a makeup lesson.
For sickness or emergencies, please submit the reschedule form before your lesson time. Once you submit the form, you will automatically receive a link to schedule a makeup lesson.
Lessons canceled with less than 48 hours' notice or missed without notice cannot be rescheduled.
After submitting the reschedule form, your original lesson will be removed from ACUITY, and that time will become available for other singers. If you need to withdraw your reschedule request, please notify us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to reserve the original lesson time.
Due to high demand and limited availability, makeup lessons are not guaranteed and are offered on an as-possible basis. For the best chance of finding a suitable time, we recommend submitting requests proactively, frequently checking the scheduling link, and remaining flexible with dates, times, and instructor options.
Makeup/reschedule lessons are only offered to current studio members. In the event of cancellation, all makeup/reschedule lessons must be completed before your last lesson date.
All missed lessons in 2025 must be made up within the same calendar year and cannot be carried over to 2026.

At Houston Voice Studio, we pride ourselves on providing consistency for our singers. In the event our faculty have a planned or emergency absence, HVS will arrange for another faculty member to teach your session. If you would prefer to reschedule with your original instructor, you’re welcome to use our reschedule form with the standard notice.
In the event Houston Voice Studio is unable to arrange for another faculty member to teach your lesson, we will provide alternate times/dates to reschedule with your instructor via a HVS Cancellation link.
In the event Houston Voice Studio cancels lessons for a studio emergency or weather-related reason, we will provide alternate times/dates to reschedule with your instructor.

If you need to adjust your regular lesson time, please provide at least 30 days' notice by completing the Time Change Form in our Studio Member Portal. This allows us to collect your availability and preferences. If a new time cannot be arranged within 30 days, we will provide options for temporarily pausing lessons or reevaluating your schedule at a later date.
For example, if you wish to find a new lesson time in October, your Time Change Form must be submitted by September 1 in order for us to find a new time or stop payment/pause lessons for October.
Due to high demand and limited availability at HVS, we recommend submitting our Time Change Form proactively so we can assist in finding a preferred time with your preferred instructor.

If you would like to upgrade or downgrade your membership, please notify us via email with 30 days notice so we can adjust our schedule, find a new lesson time and/or change payment.
If you would like to use the same card on file, we can adjust payment on our end. If you would like to select a new card on file, we can send a link to submit payment for the new membership.

We understand that circumstances change! HVS requires a 30-day notice for cancellations. To cancel your lessons, please notify us via email by the 1st of the prior month. For example, if you wish to cancel lessons/stop payment for October, your cancellation request must be submitted by September 1.
Makeup/Reschedule lessons are only offered to current studio members. All makeup/reschedule lessons must be completed before your last lesson date.
Due to our studio’s high demand and limited availability, we’re unable to hold a time spot with an instructor after cancellation. If you wish to re-enroll, we suggest reaching out to our team proactively to find a preferred time with your preferred instructor.
