Hello! My name is Jimena, and I’m thrilled to join the Houston Voice Studio faculty! I am a passionate singer, vocal technician, and pedagogue, and I am excited to help you discover and refine your unique voice. My teaching philosophy centers around cultivating healthy vocal habits and fostering musical growth, ensuring each student develops a sustainable and resilient technique tailored to their needs. I can’t wait to support your vocal journey and help you grow into the confident performer you aim to be!
I prioritize vocal health and technique, exploring fundamental concepts like efficient breath management, registration balance, resonance, and articulation. I emphasize a kinesthetic approach to teaching, helping students use their body awareness to connect with the technical aspects of singing—whether it’s navigating vowel modification, building stability for belt/mix, or achieving smooth registration transitions. One of my greatest joys as a teacher is helping students prepare for various performances, from school auditions and choral concerts to musical theater productions, and watching them achieve their goals.

Hello! My name is Caitlin Duckworth, and I am the founder of Houston Voice Studio and a Contemporary Commercial Music Specialist! I founded Houston Voice Studio in 2021 to give Houston's singers access to the highest level of professional vocal training, performance opportunities, and artist development.
As a function-based instructor, I train my singers like athletes. Functional training focuses on targeting muscle groups in the voice, training for strength, increasing and mastering coordination, providing practical techniques, and ultimately giving my singers the tools and methods they need to sing in any genre they want.
